Dairy causes excess mucus.

An excess of sinus-related mucus production is a symptom that is more commonly associated with air-borne allergies such as dust, pollen and animal dander.

Some people who have cow’s milk allergy or other food allergies, may also experience an increase in mucus production, usually resulting in a runny nose. However, apart from cow’s milk allergy, which is uncommon, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that dairy intake increases mucus production. The best approach in treating any symptom is to get an accurate diagnosis with a registered clinician through your GP.
