In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.

Pour the mixture into a large resealable plastic bag and seal the bag tightly.

Place the bag into a large bowl filled with ice and salt. The ice and salt will help the mixture freeze.

Once partly frozen, shake the bag vigorously for 10-15 minutes or until the mixture thickens.

Once the mixture has thickened, transfer the ice-cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until its firm.

Once served, decorate with your favorite toppings and enjoy your homemade ice-cream!
