NDC and Ornua are pleased to announce that following consultation with the judging panel, the NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards competition will proceed this year strictly following government guidelines on COVID-19.
The following guidelines have been introduced to ensure optimum safety protocols are adhered to:
• All co-ops, regardless of milk pool, can nominate one farm only;
• Closing date for nominations has been extended to Friday 21st August 2020;
• A strict farm visit protocol will be put in place for all visits on farm.
Due to COVID-19 the awards ceremony, an event which usually takes place in Dublin in October, will not go ahead as planned. However, it is more important than ever to acknowledge the incredible resilience and hard work carried out by Ireland’s 18,000 dairy farmers who work hard to put quality dairy products on our tables 365 days a year. As such, a supporting PR and marketing campaign will take place to promote and celebrate this year’s finalists; Ireland’s best-in-class dairy farmers. Winners will be announced in November.
