FARMER AMBASSADOR

Louise Crowley

Louise Crowley has been farming full time with her father in Croom, Co Limerick since 2018. They have a milking herd of 180 cows. Louise uses social media and video to get the message out to the general public about life on a working farm and the realities of what is being done towards delivering a more sustainable product, both environmentally and economically.
She has grown a following of over 25,000 on Instagram where she offers a direct insight into her life on the farm. She is a vocal supporter and promoter of Irish Women in Agriculture.

Louise is a real advocate for farmers and farming – she’s heavily involved in the more political side of farming and is a strong champion for women in farming, for young farmers and for social media as the best way to connect. She loves cutting silage and she hates fencing.

Shane’s a young farmer who believes, rightly, that young people are going to be most affected by the sustainability decisions that are made today. Therefore, he says, young farmers should have a say in policy, as it affects dairying, and have some influence in how the industry goes about achieving its goals.
